Buckle Up, Buster! 2

People are twice as likely to die in a car accident if they choo0se not to wear their belt, and statistics show that one life a day could be saved in the UK if people made this split second decision to plug in before setting off.

Paul Clark, road safety minister had to say on the matter “This campaign reminds drivers that – no matter how short their journey or how slowly they are driving, they are risking their life if they set off without putting their seatbelt on” .

UK law requires that drivers and passengers wear a seatbelt if available, with the law prosecuting drivers if their passengers are unbelted. It also requires that you have a valid Car Insurance policy before you drive, insuring the person as opposed to the car.

Next time you get in your car to go to work, pick up your children from school or head to the shops, think.  What could the implication of not buckling up be to you and the people around you? Make the right decision. Put your belt on. europa2004.
